Message So the shop doing all my cage work still isn't done with my Z. I shouldn't really be surprised at this point though I guess. They are having trouble trimming my door panel to fit with the side bars of the cage. Here is a pic of where they are at right now.

And here is what they want to take out. All the part circled in the red.

With the big hole that will be left, the guy wants to get a flat piece of cf and rivet it in to cover up the hole. I'm not really a big fan of that idea. It'll look unfinished and half assed imo. Its better than just a big hole in my door panel though.

My idea which I still think is the best one is to just notch a V in the panel so it fits smoothly around the bars. The owner of the shop said that it would look good for a day or two, but that the piece left around the bars would eventually break off as it would be unsupported. That makes sense, but if there was foam or something behind it to give it support I think it would be fine. I have to go to the shop this afternoon and help install a few more things, and give my final decision with what I want done with the door panels. I have a brand new set of panels from coz. The ones all cut to crap in the pics are my original ones. I'm not letting them touch those until they can do something we both agree on. What do you guys think, is there some sort of foam that I can use, or anything, to give the panel support once a V has been cut into it? Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
